Frequently asked Questions
We’re a West Australian owned and operated business with a physical location where you can come and see our display home where we will show you the quality of the homes and the reasons we believe ours are the best. We will even provide you with a checklist so that you can compare our homes to the competition's so that you will be able to make an informed decision.

Yes... all windows and the front sliding door have security mesh for your safety.
Many expandable house companies don't answer that question or want to get involved when you ask. The fact is that every Council has different policies when it comes to this type of structure. We have contacted most Councils in Western Australia so let us know which Council area you live in and we'll let you know their current policy if we can. There is also an option of mounting the home on a trailer and classing it as a caravan under the WA Caravan and Camping Act. This is a fully legitimate way of being able to place your new home on your property.
Yes that is correct. In 2024 the West Australian Government amended the Caravan and Camping Act allowing caravans and Tiny Homes On Wheels (THOW's) to be able to be placed on a property for a maximum of 2 years and then be able to apply for an extension (subject to conditions). Ask us for more details.

Expandable homes are not what is called a Class 1a building and as such are not required to meet all Australian Standards. However all of our electrical and plumbing does comply with Australian Standards.
With proper care and maintenance, our homes can last decades, just like traditional houses.
No absolutely not! All of our homes come completely wired to the Australian Standards and just simply plug into a standard 15amp GPO. Many companies who supply expandable houses with either no wiring or non compliant wiring meaning you have to spend thousands to engage an electrician to do this for you.
Yes we have 2 smoke alarms hardwired as per the Australian Standards for your safety and peace of mind.
Yes all of our homes have an instant hot water system fitted in the bathroom.
We provide a dedicated circuit so that you can easily have a reverse cycle split system airconditioner fitted for minimum cost. You can organise your own quotes or we can do that for you.
We offer a 2-year structural and 1-year fixtures, fittings, and finish warranty on all our expandable homes and we comply with Australian consumer laws.
Please note that the warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by accidents or misuse, or damage caused by natural disasters or extreme weather conditions. We recommend that you take appropriate steps to protect your Expandable Cottage from these risks, such as securing it properly and maintaining it in good condition.
Overall, we are committed to providing high-quality homes that are built to last.
Our homes come with standard fittings and fixtures such as kitchen benches, Australian standards tapware and plumbing, Australian Standard electrical wiring and power outlets, instantaneous water heater, bathroom vanity and shower.
Yes that is one of the great things about our homes... they are designed to be able to fold up and move in a very short period of time. Be aware that some expandable home suppliers offer houses that don't come complete with wiring and therefore will be very difficult to move as all the wiring will have to be installed in conduit on the internal walls which means that it would all have to be removed at great expense before folding up the home.
